On September 17th, 2007 Richard was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor (gmb). It became apparent, immediately, that neither one of us would ever be the same. We aren't sure what lies ahead but we know we want to share our thoughts, our news, our triumphs and our challenges here with all of you. Richard will be writing in regular print and I will be writing in italics. Please come join us as we open our hearts to this new journey.

Well, we have walked this path twice (breast 23 yrs ago, ovarian 3 yrs ago) so we can truly empathize. I remember telling myself with the ovarian ca, "I am NOT a statistic, I am my own body" and I'm still here, ornery as ever. The blog is a terrific idea - it is the love and support of family and friends that will carry you through this. xo Kathy and Tom
Dear Richard and Sherri,
You are so loved! Loving and lovable, too! Now you, Richard, have been given the gift of grace in surrendering and receiving... blessings be (thank you? God!). Loved the "hollow chocolate bunny" reference in one responding comment.
So... as you very well know, no outcome is fixed or assured, as all is co-created from the now (or present). OK, both of you, let go of any/all residual sense of being personally responsible for the cause or the cure; such is the mystery and magic. You having fun with this big, heavy label, too?!
I want to get in the heart of whomever told you, Sherri, that your crying would only upset Richard -- all good, old school intentions aside, I'd say, "can you be sure of this? How can you know this is truth?"
All is energy; emotions are energy in motion - emotions must be in motion in order to transform out of becoming the more dense energy of matter.
Experience shows: If you are going to thrive through this chapter, you must both, individually and collectively, be very, very honest in every moment. By honest is meant genuine, in integrity, and spontanious without shame, in the chaos. There is a great gift here!
Love will see you through... love which is unconditional and without limits. Question everything! If it ain't love you're experiencing, then transform it into love! This is about the journey - for real.
Now I'll step out of my coaching shoes - don't make me get 'em out again ;-)
Hugs to you both and the dogs, too.
Namaste'
